In Mayor Tait's State of the City Address he announced 2013 as Anaheim’s Year of Kindness, a year-long effort to bring more resources and energy to neighborhoods by increasing the number of volunteers in our city. Anaheim recognizes the tremendous benefit of volunteering in our neighborhoods and how an act of kindness can bring people together to build a stronger community.
By partnering with Volunteer Match, Anaheim becomes the 1st municipality to partner with the organization in order to provide a simple online tool to connect residents with nonprofit organizations in and around Anaheim.
Signing up on Anaheim Volunteer Match is free. Once logged on, Anaheim residents can easily search the “Find Opportunities” tab and be matched to volunteer openings offered by local non-profits, churches, libraries, and businesses.
Post Volunteer Opportunities
Non-profit organizations wishing to post their volunteer opportunities can click on the “Recruit Volunteers” tab at Anaheim Volunteer Match to post their volunteer needs for free. Examples of volunteer opportunities include:
