Compassion for Our Elders

This Tuesday after work, I dashed into a local store to grab an assortment of birthday cards for my family. There was a woman about my age behind me. At first I thought she was actually with the much older woman next to her. The elderly woman was having some difficulty finding the items she needed. The younger lady stopped what she was doing, took the older lady to the proper section and proceeded to go through the merchandise available until the "perfect" item was found. The younger lady then went about her business, and I then realized they were not together. I approached her and told her her kindness was not un-noticed, that she made my day and actually brought a tear. I would hope someone like her would help my Mom or Grandma. So sweet, so selfless, we all need to remember, we will be old someday. Pay it forward!
