Magnolia Power Plant

The Magnolia Power Project is a clean natural gas, high-efficiency, 310 MW combined-cycle unit operated by Burbank Water & Power which provides power to the cities of Anaheim, Burbank, Cerritos, Colton, Glendale, and Pasadena.  As a large local power facility, the Magnolia Power Project greatly improves regional electric reliability by decreasing our dependence on long-distance interstate transmission lines.  In September 2005, the Magnolia Power Project won Power Magazine Project of the Year award.
