As a community-owned not-for-profit utility, Anaheim Public Utilities proudly supports the educational efforts of Anaheim youth through scholarships.
Anaheim Public Utilities is now accepting applications for its Educational Scholarship to honor an outstanding high school senior who is interested in pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
One high school senior will be selected to receive a $5,000 scholarship for college expenses and will have the opportunity to participate in an optional 6-week summer internship with Anaheim Public Utilities.
Student must submit an application and write a 300-500 word essay proposing ideas or initiatives that would supplement Anaheim Public Utilities' existing sustainable programs to continue to make Anaheim a clean, green community.
Student must be pursing post-secondary education or a degree in a STEM related field.
Student must live in Anaheim and receive electric and/or water service from Anaheim Public Utilities.
Student must be enrolled as a high school senior at the time Student's application is submitted.
Student will be enrolled as a full time student in a two or four year accredited post-secondary institution in the upcoming academic year.
Student’s parents or legal guardians cannot be employed by the City of Anaheim.
