Project-Based Voucher Waiting Lists

New Project-Based Voucher Waiting Lists Now Open

The Housing Choice Voucher program offers two housing options: the tenant-based and project-based. The tenant-based program allows assisted households to use a voucher at open rental markets units. The tenant-based program waiting list is currently closed.

Project-based voucher waiting lists are open. The program offers rental housing options at specific housing locations. You may you apply for all the buildings that meet your family's needs.  See tabs below for specific building descriptions and to apply to the waiting lists.

Live/Work Preference

Be advised that priority is given to persons who either live or work in Anaheim in all housing programs. Proof of eligibility for a preference is required. For example, for persons who state that they live in Anaheim, a rental lease agreement and utility bills are required. To qualify as working in Anaheim, you must be employed or volunteer at least 40 hours per month or participate in an education or job training program in Anaheim.

Some buildings are intended for families, while others are age restricted, intended for seniors only.  AHA also offers a number of PBV locations that provide amenities and/or services specifically for persons with disabilities. For these buildings, you must contact the referral agency listed by the property in order to be placed on that property-specific waiting list.

To apply for PBV family and senior housing options, complete the online application. You must apply to each housing site that you are interested in by checking the location during the application process.  Please remember that the PBV waiting lists below are open only for the Live/Work preference and you must be eligible for that preference to apply.
