ANAHEIM, CALIF (July 25, 2019) – Three Chilean nationals suspected of being part of a larger residential burglary ring have been booked for suspicion of residential burglary. 29 year old Nicolas Fabian Masqueda Fuentes, 30 year old Sebastian German Castro Hueraleo, and 19 year old Luis Alberto Nicolas Veliz Farias were all arrested as they fled the scene of a residential burglary in the 5100 block of E. Greensboro Ln. in Anaheim during the early afternoon of July 22, 2019. All three are being held on an increased bail of $100,000.
Residential burglaries involving Chilean nationals have been a trend across Southern California for approximately 18 months and in Anaheim alone, there have been nine burglaries between December 2018 and July 2019, including this case.
Just before 2:00 pm Monday afternoon, the Anaheim Police Department received a call from an alert resident who reported three unknown males had climbed a fence into a neighbor’s back yard. The reporting party provided a description of the suspects as well as the license plate of the suspects’ vehicle. The Anaheim Police Department helicopter and responding patrol officers located the suspect vehicle as it fled the crime scene and all three suspects were arrested without incident. Approximately $10,000 in stolen property was recovered.
APD detectives believe these suspects are involved in additional crimes across Orange and Los Angeles counties. The investigation is ongoing.
