Readying for reopening

Newsflash-Preparing

ANAHEIM, Calif. (October 9, 2020) —Anaheim Library is preparing for a phased reopening with a plan focused on the health and safety of residents and staff.

The Library’s service and reopening plan is based on public health best practices from California, Orange County and the city of Anaheim.

When you visit us again, expect your neighborhood Library to be a little different.

You’ll see the following:

  • Informative signs installed to help you navigate and maintain social distancing inside and outside the Library
  • Six-feet floor markers to enter the building and at each service desk
  • Plastic shields at each public service desk
  • Use of face masks and gloves by staff
  • Removal of computers to provide six feet of social distancing
  • Remote chat on public computers for catalog assistance
  • Enhanced procedures for frequent cleaning and disinfecting common areas
  • Quarantining of returned items for six business days before returning to circulation; visitors will not see their returned materials removed from their account until a week after they’ve returned them

Whether you’re visiting the Library in-person or online, we’re here for you every step of the way.
