ANAHEIM, Calif. (Nov. 2, 2020) — No-cost COVID-19 is available on weekday evenings and Saturdays at Anaheim Convention Center.
Testing is available Tuesdays through Fridays from noon to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Anaheim, in partnership with the OC Health Care Agency and operator 360-clinic, launched the convention center testing site in July.
More than 15,000 tests have been performed since the site opened.
The city has extended the contract with the county and operator 360 Clinic to operate through November.
Testing is contact-free and self-administered inside vehicles. Appointments can be made online at 360clinic.md, with medical assessments done by doctors and nurses.
For those with insurance, insurers will be billed with no out-of-pocket cost for those being tested. For those without insurance, federal funding will cover the cost of testing.
Testing is available for:
The testing site is on the west side of Anaheim Convention Center, in a surface parking lot and parking structure off West Street south of Katella Avenue.
The site is able to provide about 1,000 tests each day.
Those with appointments will enter from West Street south of Katella. They will remain in their vehicles throughout the entire process, with windows rolled up except when receiving and returning testing materials.
While testing appointments will be spread out throughout the day, patients should expect some wait time as vehicles make their way through the testing site.
Residents in the area will see additional traffic on West Street but no added public health risk.
Those being tested will not be out in the open, and staff will be wearing protective medical gear. Tests are processed offsite.
There are minor traffic impacts on West Street. Residents and commuters are advised to avoid or limit travel on West Street from Katella Avenue to Orangewood Avenue for their own convenience.
The testing site is part of Anaheim’s ongoing efforts to address the coronavirus crisis, in partnership with the county of Orange.
The county of Orange is paying for the testing with federal coronavirus aid funds, and Anaheim is providing the location at no charge, along with logistical and traffic support.
