ANAHEIM, Calif. (March 25, 2016) — Two Anaheim restaurants were named among Orange County’s top 10 best new restaurants in the April edition of Orange Coast magazine.
Urbana, an Anaheim Packing House restaurant offering a modern take on Mexican street food, and True Seasons Organic Kitchen, offering hot pot and local, organic ingredients in Anaheim Hills, represented the city in Orange Coast’s list of best new eats.
“There’s some really cool, innovative dining happening in Anaheim,” said Tom Tait, mayor of Anaheim. “I congratulate Urbana and True Seasons on this recognition and invite everyone to come see and taste the great new flavors of Anaheim.”
Orange Coast, a monthly lifestyle magazine, compiles an annual list of the county’s top 10 restaurants. With so many restaurants opening in Orange County, this year the magazine focused its list on the top 10 new restaurants.
The two Anaheim restaurants join others from Newport Beach, Irvine, Huntington Beach, San Juan Capistrano and Brea on the list.
Urbana, with innovative dishes including pork belly tacos with cilantro aioli, pickled daikon and carrots, brings a new twist to Mexican food. Shrimp enchiladas suizas and ahi tuna ceviche are among Urbana’s specialty seafood dishes. Urbana also features a tequila and Mezcal bar, Dia de los Muertos decor and a sophisticated urban vibe.
True Seasons serves fresh, local and organic foods in new ways, including the restaurant’s signature organic hot pot. Diners can cook their own meat, vegetables and tofu in one of True Seasons’ hand-crafted broths right at the bar. The restaurant offers good-for-you foods in an elegant setting.
