At 2:37 pm on May 12, 2016, Anaheim Police received several calls of shots fired in the parking lot of Peralta Canyon Park, 115 N. Pinney Drive in Anaheim. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female victim seated in the driver’s seat of a white vehicle and suffering from gunshot wounds. Police officers and personnel from Anaheim Fire & Rescue performed life saving measures and the victim was transported to Orange County Global Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Investigation revealed there were several eyewitnesses to the shooting, including some children. The witnesses quickly provided a detailed description of Servin and his vehicle, and the information was relayed to patrol units. Within 15 minutes, police officers located Servin’s Gray 2002 Dodge Ram parked in the parking lot of the Anaheim Police Department East District substation at 8201 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road. Servin was located nearby and was detained without incident.
Preliminary investigation revealed Servin and the victim were married, but estranged. The motive for the shooting is still being investigated.
