Anaheim to Host Free Health Fair at Brookhurst Community Center
ANAHEIM, CA - (June 4, 2009) - The City of Anaheim continues its efforts to encourage healthy living by once again joining with the Anekant Community Center and GBS Linens to host the third annual free health fair at the Brookhurst Community Center on Sunday, June 7, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Medical and surgical specialists from various fields will be available to provide free consultations for children and adults. Offered services will include: asthma and allergy screenings; blood pressure reading; bone density assessment; blood sugar, cholesterol and hemoglobin testing (eight hours of fasting required); dental consultation; electrocardiogram (EKG); eye exams; mammography and women’s services; pediatric and physical exams.

The City is pleased to be holding the health fair for the third year in a row as part of an initiative that was introduced by Anaheim City Council Member Harry Sidhu. “The annual free health fair provides us with an opportunity to offer all Anaheim residents the highest quality of life,” said Councilman Sidhu. “With the success of the event over the past two years, we are pleased that the health fair has become a great tradition in the City of Anaheim.”
