| ANAHEIM, CA - (June 5, 2009) - Artwork from kindergarten through sixth grade students in the Anaheim Unified School District will be on display Saturday, June 6 at The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk. The Youth Art Expo 2009 will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle will view the artwork and visit with the students and their families at 11 a.m.
Youth Art Expo 2009 is sponsored by the Boeing arts education grant. As a part of this program students have the opportunity to rediscover the elements of art and learn lessons on lines, color, composition, form and perspective.
At 11 a.m. Mayor Pringle will be joined by Superintendent José Banda and children’s book author and illustrator Priscilla Burris for the formal program in the Gala Garden at The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk.
