City of Anaheim Announces Summer Concert Series
ANAHEIM, CA - (June 19, 2009) - The City of Anaheim, together with the Anaheim Community Foundation, is pleased to announce the Summer Concert Series at three Anaheim parks this summer.  Many of the concerts are free, and family, friends and neighbors are encouraged to attend and enjoy the music in some of Anaheim’s beautiful parks.

Toyon Park is located at 945 S. Weir Canyon Rd. in east Anaheim.  Summer Concerts in the Canyon will run from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on the dates listed below.  The performances are free to the public, and lawn chairs or blankets for the open seating are recommended. 

 

Thursday July 16 - “Swing Cats” features popular swing music favorites
Thursday, July 23 – Top 40 music hits the stage with “Electric Mayhem”
Thursday, July 30 - “Rockit Scientist” will perform music of the 50’s and 60’s.
Thursday, August 6 – Dance to funk and disco with the music of “Soundbytes”

 

Maxwell Park is located at 2600 W. Orange Ave, in west Anaheim.  Summer Concerts in the Park will run from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. on the dates listed below.  The performances are free to the public, and lawn chairs or blankets for the open seating are recommended. 

 

Tuesday, July 14 - Classic Rock with the sound of “Bobby G & The Beat”
Tuesday, August 4 - Latin beats as “Frank Cano” spices up the night

 

Pearson Park is located at 400 N. Harbor Blvd. near downtown Anaheim.  All concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m., unless otherwise indicated, on the nights listed below.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.anaheim.net, or at the Pearson Park Amphitheatre box office, which opens one hour prior to the start of each show.
