Celebrate Cinco De Mayo In Anaheim At The 40th Annual Cinco De Mayo Fiesta and Carnival
ANAHEIM, CA - (April 21, 2010) - The 40th annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta and Carnival will take place at La Palma Park from April 29 through May 2  and the community is invited to attend and join in the festivities.  The celebration will feature free live entertainment, more than 80 vendor and food booths, a mass on Sunday, and the coronation of this year’s Cinco de Mayo queen.  La Palma Park is located at the corner of La Palma Ave. and Harbor Blvd. in the city of Anaheim.

The carnival will feature thrill rides for the older members of the family while also offering rides suitable for young carnival goers.  Attendees will also be able to play a variety of games for the chance to win prizes.  Tickets to ride the rides and play the games can be purchased at the carnival.

Thursday, April 29
Carnival rides and games: 5 -10 p.m.
(special for Thursday only: $10 per person for unlimited carnival rides)

Friday, April 30
Carnival rides and games: 5 p.m. - midnight

Saturday, May 1
Soccer: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Food booths: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Carnival rides and games: 10 a.m. – midnight
Entertainment: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Cinco de Mayo Queen contest and coronation:  3 – 4 p.m.

Sunday, May 2
Mass (Spanish language): 9 – 10:30 a.m.
Queen’s Parade: Immediately following mass
Food booths: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Entertainment: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
VIP breakfast: 10:30 a.m. – noon
Carnival rides and games: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. (ticket sales stop at 10 p.m.)
Soccer: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
