|Register Today for Anaheim Summer Recreation Classes, Activities and Events|
ANAHEIM, CA - (May 17, 2010) - The summer season is just around the corner, and now is the time to enroll yourself and your family for fun and recreation. The Anaheim Community Services department is accepting registration for summer camps, classes and activities, for both children and adults.
The summer Youth Sports baseball and cheerleading season for boys and girls ages 4-13 begins late June, and online registration continues through June 4. Walk-in registration will be available June 7 -11 at the Downtown Community Center (250 E. Center Street), East Anaheim Gymnasium (4165 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road), and Brookhurst Community Center (2271 W. Crescent). The cost is $82 per child, and includes practice times, games, professional coaching, a program t-shirt, and a participation award.
CampVenture summer day camp at Peralta Park offers games, crafts, science and other fun activities for children throughout the summer vacation. Each weekly camp offers a different excursion. Day camp is available 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ($110 per child/per week). For information on this program, please visit www.anaheim.net/youthprograms.
O.A.K.S summer day camp at Oak Canyon Nature Center offers weekly sessions focusing on topics in nature. Day camp includes trail walks, art, nature, games and Native American traditions. Day camp is available 9:00 am – 1:00 pm ($85 per child/per week). Fee includes all materials and camp T-shirt. For more information on this program, please call (714) 765-5219.
Summer classes and specialty camps offer opportunities for tiny tots, gymnastics, art, fitness, dance, educational topics, music, science, cooking, sports and much more.
