Anaheim/OC Job Fair And Expo Set For June 13 At The Anaheim Convention Center
Fourth annual free event will connect job seekers and employers; hiring incentives available
ANAHEIM, CA - (April 18, 2012) -

The Anaheim/OC Job Fair and Expo will be bigger and better in 2012, with job seekers and employers able to take advantage of resources for military veterans as well as hiring incentives from Anaheim’s Enterprise Zone designation.

More than 125 employers are expected to attend the 2012 Anaheim/OC Job Fair and Expo taking place this year at the Anaheim Convention Center, a new location for the Job Fair. The Job Fair and Expo will be open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and will offer workshops on resume improvement and career skills, and free Wi-Fi throughout the venue. Admission and parking are free.

“The Anaheim/OC Job Fair and Expo has proved to be a valuable resource for both job seekers and employers, and we are proud to host the fourth annual event,” said Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait, who asked Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu to lead this initiative. “This will be a wonderful opportunity for those seeking employment as well as employers needing to hire quality workers to take advantage of the face-to-face connection this job fair can provide.”

Organizations dedicated to helping Veterans have committed to participate in the Job Fair, including Veterans First of OC. The Employment Development Department (EDD) will provide Disabled Veteran Employment Services as well as their traditional Veterans Services programs. More information specific to assisting Veterans will be updated at www.anaheimjobs.com.

The Enterprise Zone program, established by the State of California, serves to stimulate economic growth by providing tax credits for businesses located within the Enterprise Zone boundaries. In Anaheim the Enterprise Zone boundaries include nearly all of the City’s industrial and commercial areas, and approximately 80% of all Anaheim businesses.
