ANAHEIM, CA - (July 12, 2012) - In an effort to connect more with the people he serves, Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait is launching a series of “Meet the Mayor” events this summer. The mayor is holding the first meeting on Thursday, July 19, and is inviting community members to join him from 4:30-6 p.m. at Mimi’s restaurant (1240 Euclid Street) in Anaheim.
Meet the Mayor is an opportunity for residents to speak directly with Mayor Tait, provide feedback about what Anaheim residents like, or don’t like, about the City, and to get to know your neighbor in a casual environment. “One of the greatest privileges of being Mayor of Anaheim is getting to know our residents,” said Mayor Tait. “Learning what is of importance to those that live and work in our city helps myself, my Council colleagues, and staff better serve the community. The Meet the Mayor sessions are intended to further open the lines of communication, and to extend the Hi Neighbor program in settings outside our residential neighborhoods. When people come together, good things will happen.” Future dates and locations will be announced soon. Media Contact: Ruth Ruiz 714.765.5060more city news
