| Business Resiliency Workshop To Offer Emergency Preparedness Planning And Recovery Information | ||||||||||||

ANAHEIM, CA - (September 27, 2012) - Emergencies can happen at any time, and to help businesses better respond and recover from unplanned events, the City of Anaheim is offering a free workshop for business leaders in the community.
The Business Resiliency Workshop: An Introduction to Business Emergency Preparedness, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Anaheim Convention Center. The workshop is free to the public, and parking complimentary at the Anaheim Convention Center car park lots. The Anaheim Convention Center is located at 800 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA 92802 The workshop will feature presentations by emergency management leaders who will provide information on ways in which businesses can be better prepared and more resilient, and how to prevent losses that might impact your business. Guest speakers will include: Anaheim is one of seven cities nationwide leading a pilot program for emergency preparedness and resiliency. In September 2011, Anaheim was selected for this honor when Mayor Tait’s Hi Neighbor program caught the attention of The Community and Regional Resilience Institute (CARRI), a national effort supported by the Department of Homeland Security. The Hi Neighbor program strives to create stronger neighbor-to-neighbor ties and will result in new neighborhood-level networks for community policing, emergency preparedness and community building.
