| Anaheim Names Interim City Attorney | ||||||||||||

ANAHEIM, CA - (March 1, 2013) - The City of Anaheim today officially announced the law firm of Cummins & White, LLP as interim City Attorney, with Michael Houston leading the firm in all City matters.
Houston joined Cummins & White as a partner in 2011. Prior to joining Cummins & White he was a partner at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, and was an associate at the global law firm Gary, Cary, Ware and Freidenrich (now DLA Piper). He has served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of La Quinta and has provided legal counsel for the cities of Chula Vista, Corona, Costa Mesa, Marina, Napa, National City, Newport Beach, Pico Rivera, and San Diego. He graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. At the February 19th City Council meeting, the Anaheim City Council unanimously selected Cummins & White to provide interim City Attorney services, and directed the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with the law firm designating Houston to serve in the interim role. Cummins & White, LLP, an Orange County-based firm, was founded in 1951, and has grown to a team of 19 partners and associates. The firm offers legal services to individuals and businesses, with expertise in business, insurance, criminal and municipal law.
