|Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting Schedule Revised For Remainder Of Study|
ANAHEIM, CA - (April 4, 2013) - The Anaheim Citizens Advisory Committee has set their meeting dates and locations through the remainder of the study period. Please note the revisions to the meetings schedule. All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m.
April 11 Anaheim Central Library, 500 West Broadway
The CAC, formed on Aug. 10, 2012, will report its findings and recommendations directly to the City Council by May 31, 2013, including recommendations on: Potential changes in the City’s election systems; How to encourage voter registration; How to identify and engage community groups in elections and in local government decision making; Language assistance programs; and other techniques to promote full participation in the electoral process.
Spanish language translation services are available at all CAC meetings upon request. Alternate language translation services are available for CAC meetings by calling 714-765-5162 at least 48 hours in advance. CAC meetings, which include a time for public comments, are recorded and available for viewing online at www.anaheim.net/CACElections and on the City of Anaheim local access channel, ACTV Channel 3. The 11-member CAC continues to offer information and presentations to promote the full participation of all residents, neighborhoods, community groups and ethnic groups relating to the City’s electoral system. All are welcome to attend the public meetings.
