Anaheim's Quarterly Neighborhood Meeting Schedule Announced
ANAHEIM, CA - (October 14, 2013) - The City of Anaheim’s next series of quarterly Neighborhood meetings will be held this month, and residents are welcome to attend to get to know their neighbors and to learn what is happening in their own neighborhood. City staff members will be available to speak directly with residents at the meetings. The meetings, which are held in the west, east, central and south areas of the City, are open to the public and all are welcome to attend and participate. Agenda items will include information on neighborhood projects and updates from various city departments.

Meetings dates are as follows:

Wednesday, October 16 – 7 p.m.
West District Neighborhood Council
West Anaheim Youth Center
320 S. Beach Blvd.

Thursday, October 17 – 7 p.m.
East District Neighborhood Council
Rio Vista Elementary School
310 N. Rio Vista St.

Wednesday, October 23 – 7 p.m.
Central District Neighborhood Council
Downtown Community Center
250 E. Center St.

Thursday, October 24 – 7 p.m
South District Neighborhood Council
Ponderosa Park Family Resource Center
2100 S. Haster St.

The Anaheim Neighborhood Improvement Program, which includes the District Council Meetings, utilizes an inter-departmental approach to improve the livability of Anaheim’s neighborhoods. Utilizing four neighborhood districts and interdepartmental teams assigned to each district, neighborhood improvement is accomplished by creating partnerships between neighborhood “stakeholders” (City departments, residents, property owners, school officials, the religious community, business community and non-profit organizations). Neighborhood Councils bring people together to work on issues of concern and identify actions to be taken to address them.
