Yes. Owners or agents operating a Short-Term Rental must rent their properties for a minimum of three (3) nights. This rule is in place to avoid frequent disturbances in residential neighborhoods caused by the repeated arrival and departure of short-term guests.
In order to obtain a Short-Term Rental Permit, you must apply to the City of Anaheim using the Short-Term Rental Permit Application. The necessary application can also be picked up from the Planning Department at Anaheim City Hall. The application must be filled out and returned in-person between the hours of 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, or mailed to the address listed on the application. All completed applications must include a check or money order for the $250 Registration Fee.
Yes. You will be issued a City of Anaheim Business Tax Certificate (business license) once you have completed the permit process along with the Regulatory Permit for the Short-Term Rental. The Regulatory Permit will include a unique Permit Number (REG#) that you must use as a part of the program which will allow the Code Enforcement staff to verify your compliance with the established guidelines.
