Business Watch is a simple concept of businesses watching out for other businesses, reporting suspicious activity and crime to the police. Business Watch focuses on teaching the business personnel on how to be observant and aware, prevent crime in your business community, and how to report suspicious activity and crime. Businesses working together in cooperation with law enforcement can make one of the best crime-fighting teams around.

The Citizen Academy is designed to teach citizens about the philosophy, policies, and guiding principles of law enforcement and ethical conduct governing police services in our community. The 14 week course is a condensed version of the basic training curriculum taken by new police officers during their pre-service education and training. Students will receive Basic Classroom instruction by personnel from many Divisions including presentations and demonstrations from Homicide, Narcotics, K-9, and S.W.A.T.
