    Fun on Wheels Mobile Recreation Program is a free drop- in program designed to bring recreation and other resources into the neighborhoods for children, ages 5-18. The program offers homework assistance, fitness fun, art enrichment, and resource materials. No registration is needed! All programs are closed on holidays and days of inclement weather. Children are encouraged to remain at the program location, but are free to come and go at any time. The staff are not responsible for children who choose to leave the program location.

    The impact of stressful and traumatic experiences on development. This workshop focuses on how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can impact child development and lead negative consequences into adulthood. Participants will learn to identify and understand the behaviors that often manifest in children with ACEs, and learn ways to prevent ACEs from occurring in the lives of their loved ones. Additionally, participants will gain an understanding of how to foster a sense of resiliency in their loved ones in order to buffer the negative effects of ACEs and increase well being into adulthood.

    Los elementos fundamentales para un mejor desarrollo infantil (Taller dirigido a padres, maestros y todo aquel involucrado en el cuidado de la vida de un niño). Este taller analiza los elementos esenciales para un desarrollo infantil saludable, desde como guiarlos a apoyarlos en actividades más sanas. Los participantes examinarán una guía de 40 valores esenciales en la vida infantil y entenderá la inmensa diferencia que puede ocurrir cuando a un niño tienen más de 30 valores fundamentales en su vida a diferencia de tener menos de 15. Los participantes tendrán oportunidad de hacer un inventario de los elementos con los que sus hijos tienen actualmente y aprender nuevas técnicas para poder apoyarlos en el desarrollo de valores esenciales.
