This free, drop-in program will offer children, ages 5-16, academic support, art enrichment, sports, and recreation opportunities. S.T.A.R.S is a year around program offered Monday through Friday, from the time students are released from school until 6:00 p.m. Times will vary based on location and individual school schedules.   1. Rio Vista Flashlight Walk (East-District 5)

    Flashlight walks are designed to strengthen neighborhoods and help bring communities together. Residents walk with police and other city departments. During the course of a Flashlight Walk, residents and officials discuss particular problems and needs of the neighborhood, such as; gangs, parking and graffiti. This is a great opportunity for residents to work together with law enforcement.
