  1. Public Review Board Applications Now Open

    February 16, 2018 - March 23, 2018, 5:00 PM

    We’re looking for help shaping the future of community policing in Anaheim. The city is seeking applicants to serve on our new Police Review Board, which is set to convene in the spring. The review board is a new, expanded version of the Public Safety Board, which launched in 2014 as a two-year pilot program for civilian police oversight in Anaheim. The Police Review Board brings expanded civilian oversight to Anaheim, to learn more visit www.anaheim.net/PRB. Applications due by Friday, March 23, 2018 at 5pm.

    Flashlight walks are designed to strengthen neighborhoods, help identify and communicate safety concerns, as well as prevent crime through neighborhood participation. During flashlight walks residents will walk the neighborhood with Anaheim Police officers and discuss any ongoing issues in the area. Participation is very important as we work together to make our neighborhoods safe and crime free.

    Flashlight walks are designed to strengthen neighborhoods and help bring communities together. Residents walk with police and other city departments. During the course of a Flashlight Walk, residents and officials discuss particular problems and needs of the neighborhood, such as; gangs, parking and graffiti. This is a great opportunity for residents to work together with law enforcement.
