Let’s face it, we live in a climate where water has been and will continue to be an issue. The smart gardener, in finding ways to address this issue, will investigate drought tolerant plants. This presentation covers gardening in the Southern California Mediterranean climate and provides tips for designing and planning the drought tolerant garden, including steps to implement the garden design. Beginning with a description of drought tolerant plants, attendees will learn how to select, plant, water, and maintain the right plants to thrive in their gardens. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Workshops are conducted in cooperation with University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners of Orange County. All ages welcome!
