The Anaheim Police Department has appointed four of its Lieutenants as District Commanders

Four major areas of the City have been designated for the personal attention of these Commanders. The four districts are the South District, The East District including residential area of Anaheim Hills, The West District and the Central District which includes Downtown Anaheim.

The first four District Commanders all possess many years of law enforcement experience and invaluable knowledge in the areas of public safety and community service. They will be accessible to the Citizens in their area to respond to concerns and comments.

LIEUTENANT JOHN HARADON

During his 26 year career as an Anaheim Police Officer he has worked a variety of assignments. As a field officer he was assigned to patrol, and worked the Vice Detail. He was promoted to Sergeant and supervised Patrol officers, Detectives and members of the Crime Task Force. As a Lieutenant he commanded the Traffic Bureau, was a Watch Commander for Patrol and was recently the Commander of the Detective Bureau. Lieutenant Haradon wants to continue to improve the relationship between the Citizens living and working in the East District, and the Anaheim Police Department. LIEUTENANT STEVE RODIG

He has been with the Anaheim Police Department for 23 years. During that time he has worked as an Officer on Patrol, in the Vice and the Narcotics Details, and a member of the Crime Task Force. After being promoted to Sergeant he supervised Patrol, Major Narcotics and Detectives in the Homicide Detail. As a Lieutenant he has served as a Watch Commander and the Commander of the Community Services Division. Lieutenant Rodig will be in charge of the Central District. He is looking forward to this assignment and hopes to continue to improve the relationship between the Police Department and the Downtown Anaheim Community. LIEUTENANT CRAIG HUNTER

He has served as an Anaheim Police Officer for 18 years. He has worked as an officer in Patrol, and as an investigator in the Major Narcotics and Crime Task Force Details. After being promoted to Sergeant, his assignments included supervising the Gang Detail, Robbery Detail and the Internal Affairs Detail. As a Lieutenant he has been assigned as a Patrol Watch Commander and as Commander of the Field Services and Detention Bureaus. Lieutenant Hunter will take command of the South District in the Resort Area of the City. He intends to improve the delivery of services to the citizens of the area and the millions of visitors that come to the area each year. LIEUTENANT KAHLE SWITZER

He has been with the Anaheim Police Department for 26 years. During that time he has worked as an Officer in Patrol, an Investigator with the Crime Task Force and as one of the first Street Narcotics Officers. He was a Detective in the Juvenile and Robbery Details. He was promoted to Sergeant and supervised Officers in Patrol, as well as the Detectives in the Auto Theft and Homicide Bureaus. He has been a Patrol Watch Commander since being promoted to Lieutenant. Lieutenant Switzer takes command of the West District of the City.
