Emergency Management is responsible for the management and oversight of the City of Anaheim’s Emergency Operations Center, Disaster Preparedness, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer program and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES) volunteer program. The division ensures that both City employees and residents are as prepared as possible for disasters. This is accomplished by providing: employee and citizen education in preparedness; training employees in disaster response, management, and recovery; and maintaining the City Disaster Plans.
