Council Woman Lucille Kring was re-elected to the Anaheim City Council in November 2012. Kring previously served as an Anaheim City Council Member from 1998-2002 and 2006-2010. A graduate of Western State University College of Law with a J.D. degree in law, Kring practices in the fields of Labor, Employment and Real Estate. Lucille Kring also holds a current California Real Estate Broker’s License and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. During her previous tenure on the Anaheim City Council, Kring served on various committees for the League of Cities. She also represented Anaheim in Washington, D.C. as a board member of the American Public Power Association working to protect our utility from federal over-regulations. Council Woman Kring was an Anaheim Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and was named Ambassador of the Year after amassing 500 hours of volunteer service to the community. In 1996, Kring was elected to the Chamber's Board of Directors and served in that capacity until 2011. Council Woman Kring is presently active in many organizations that include: Board Member; Anaheim Beautiful, Board Member; Anaheim Regional Medical Center, Board Member; Anaheim Family YMCA, Board Member; Cops 4 Kids, Board Member; Orange County Vector Control; and she is the Chairwoman of Anaheim's Adopt a Neighborhood Program for Anaheim Beautiful. Council Woman Kring has just been named to the following Governing Boards commencing with her current term on the Anaheim City Council: Board Member, Orange County Sanitation District; Board Member, Orange County-City HAZMAT Emergency Response Authority; Board Member, Orange County Fire Training Joint Powers Authority; Board Member, Transportation Corridor Agency. Council Woman Lucille Kring has been active in many community organizations in Anaheim, including the Canyon Hills Community Council 4th of July Celebration, The Orange County Heritage Council Black History Month Parade, and she is a past President of The Anaheim Rotary Club. An 18-year cancer survivor, she also served on the North Orange Unit for the American Cancer Society for several years. Council Woman Kring and her husband Ron are very active in their church, have a rescue dog and cat and have lived in Anaheim since 1989.
