Trespassing Letter
The Trespassing Letter Program enables business owners in the City of Anaheim to place a PC 602 (Trespassing) letter on file with the Anaheim Police Department.
Letter Criteria
My name is (your name). I am the (owner, employee, manager, etc.) of (Company Name) located at (business address). My phone contact information is (your phone number). I have called the Anaheim police and requested trespassing warnings be given to people in the form of “street checks”. I authorize the Anaheim Police Department to make trespassing arrests at this property of subjects who have been warned via “street checks”. Furthermore, I authorize the Anaheim Police Department to enforce this letter during the nighttime hours/when the businesses are closed at the location.
Since I have called the police to warn these persons in the past and I am aware a documented warning was given, I authorize the arrest pursuant to PC 837 of the California Penal Code for a violation of PC 602.
The parking lot is intended for patrons to park and utilize the surrounding businesses. The parking lot is not for meetings, car club exhibitions, speed contests, sleeping or storage or personal property. If the parking lot is being used in that manner, Anaheim Police Department has owner/manager consent to enforce the Anaheim Municipal Code section provided below. A warning from the Anaheim Police Department will be made and a reasonable amount of time will be given for the vehicle owner to leave the premise or be cited.
I agree to appear in court if subpoenaed in any subsequent prosecution of this defendant. I will keep the people informed of my whereabouts.

Please understand in order for this letter program to work, you must have the letter on file AND call Anaheim Police Department dispatch at 714-765-1900 to have trespassers issued warnings via “street checks”. Persons will not be arrested without first having a documented warning. Anaheim PD will not issue a warning or enforce trespassing laws without first having a call or complaint from the owner or representative of the property. Once a warning is made and the person returns, the letter allows us to make the arrest without having to contact you during business hours, in the middle of the night, and when you are away from your business.
