As a community-owned not-for-profit utility, Anaheim Public Utilities proudly supports local students. Anaheim, Public Utilities is now accepting applications for its Educational Scholarship to honor an outstanding high school senior who is interested in pursuing a degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, or other utility-related fields.
One high school senior will be selected to receive a $3,000 scholarship for college expenses and will have the opportunity to participate in an optional 6-week summer internship with Anaheim Public Utilities.
Student must submit an application and write a 300-500 word essay explaining the benefits of community-owned not-for-profit Public Utilities, such as Anaheim Public Utilities, compared to for-profit Investor-Owned Utilities.
Student must live or attend a public or private high school in Anaheim.
Student must be enrolled as a high school senior at the time Student's application is submitted.
Student will be enrolled as a full time student in a two or four year accredited post-secondary institution in the upcoming academic year.
Student’s parents or legal guardians cannot be employed by the City of Anaheim.
Application period for the next Annual Scholarship Program will open January 2020.
