Green Schools Financing Program - For Educators & Administrators
Anaheim Public Utilities offers educators the opportunity to expand curriculum beyond the classroom. We offer facility tours, extracurricular programs, and projects to enhance the educational experience for Anaheim students.
Anaheim Public Utilities believes strong schools build strong communities which is why our mission includes supporting our schools through creative programs and initiatives such as our Green Schools Financing Program!
Energy and water efficiency is one of our core values and we believe the sooner we can help our customers realize these efficiencies the sooner they can save money and the environment. Through the Green Schools Financing Program we have made it possible to provide schools with low interest financing to pay for energy and water efficiency improvements. Schools will be able to upgrade, improve and modernize campuses utilizing our successful on-bill financing through Anaheim Public Utilities.
Energy and water efficiency projects translate into lower bills which help offset the short-term costs of the financing, allowing schools to focus their funding on educational needs while continuing to receive the long-term benefits of lower energy consumption.

Eligible Energy Efficiency Projects Include:
- Indoor and Outdoor LED Lighting & Lighting Controls (classroom, parking lot, sports field)
- Air Conditioning / Heat Pumps
- Programmable/Smart Thermostats
- Refrigeration
- Energy Management Systems
Eligible Interior & Exterior Water Projects Include:
- High- Efficiency Toilets
- Ultra-Low Urinals
- Faucet Aerators & Low-Flow Showerheads
- Irrigation Controllers & Rotating Sprinkler Nozzles
- Turf Replacement with Drought Tolerant Landscaping

Interest Form
Financing Amount: Up to $100,000 per school for Energy Efficiency projects and up to $25,000 per school for water efficiency projects. Subject to available funding and program terms.
