Leak Repair Rebate Program

Program Overview

This program offers rebates to customers who repair water leaks in and around their residences, including but not limited to, slab leaks, irrigation systems, and water faucet leaks. This program provides single-family customers with a water account a rebate of up to $500 for income qualified residents, or $250 for non income qualified residents for the repair of water leaks, including materials and labor.  

How It Works

To be eligible for the $500 rebate, Anaheim Public Utilities customers must be at or below the 80% Orange County median level income or customers must be a current participant in an income-qualified program with Anaheim Public Utilities. Qualifying customers will be eligible for reimbursement. All customers can request rebates for multiple leak repairs at the same single-family residence, and a customer can file subsequent applications on future water leak repairs, subject to a total program cap of $500 for income qualified residents or $250 for non-income qualified residents. 

How To Apply

1. Complete Application in full and attach the following required documents

  • Copy of your most recent Anaheim Public Utilities water bill 
  • Copies of all corresponding invoices, receipts, checks or other documents showing expenditures of leak repair 
  • Documentation of leak - e.g. spike in water bill, report after inspection of leak by APU staff, or invoice documenting leak
