Anaheim Public Utilities EV Ride Sharing Pilot Program provides FREE limited access to electric vehicles (EVs) for residents who live in multi-family affordable (MFA) housing developments and residential multi-family properties in disadvantaged communities. Those who may not have access to EVs by way of purchasing their own vehicle can, through this program, still use an EV at no cost (up to a usage threshold). APU provides rebates to offset the costs of up to two EVs per MFA.
Providing access to EV ride sharing transportation is a clean and sustainable way for residents to get to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, and other errands. EV ride-sharing leases, metering, and fuel are qualified rebate expenses under the program, which will be offered for a 3-year term.
Subject to funding availability.
Program Steps:
Customers should identify the vendor from whom they will lease the EV(s)
Customers who have been awarded a rebate will be mailed an approval letter and provided with a Rebate Reservation Number.
Customers must submit a signed agreement and/or contract between the customer and EV ride sharing vendor to provide EV ridesharing to Multi-family residents within 90 days of the rebate approval date.
Ride share vehicles must be operational within 6 months of the EV ride share agreement/contract date.
Customers must submit all EV ride sharing related invoices within 30 days of receipt, and visual confirmation of the availability and operability of the ride sharing EVs may be performed by Anaheim Public Utilities.
