The undergrounding along Beach Boulevard extends through the city limits from south of Ball Road to north of Lincoln. This project is an integral part of the Beach Boulevard Specific Plan which outlines the improvements to the Beach Boulevard corridor that also include roadway and property improvements, signage, and upgraded street lighting. The undergrounding is currently being coordinated with Caltrans, Southern California Edison (SCE) and affected telecommunication companies. Construction will be starting began in Fall 2023 and is scheduled for completion by Summer 2025.
