Are you interested in purchasing more renewable energy?
If so, Anaheim Public Utilities is offering an easy way with the Green Power Program. This voluntary program allows residents and businesses to support more renewable energy above Anaheim’s state-mandated target to meet clean energy goals.
It’s simple – just sign up once, and start making a difference every time you pay your bill. Each year, the enrollment period will be open from April 1 – May 31 and the program commitment will run from July 1 – June 30.
You select your contribution level, and an additional 1.8¢ per kilowatt hour (kWh) will be billed to 60% or 100% of your electric usage. Anaheim will purchase clean green power on your behalf, and you will receive a certificate each year to thank you for your commitment to green power.
A typical residential customer uses 500 kWh/month, with an average bill of $94.60
- To reach 60% green power, they would pay an additional $1.69/month (or 1.8% more)
- To reach 100% green power, they would pay an additional $5.26/month (or 5.6% more)
