Anaheim Fire and Rescue’s new Fire Cadet Program provides individuals, who have genuine interest in the fire service, a part-time job working alongside Fire Department administrators, training officers, and fire prevention personnel who will help mentor these young individuals who are striving to become part of the fire service. The Fire Cadets will have the opportunity to perform a variety of routine fire service functions gaining hands-on experience within this valuable work training program.
Qualifications
The qualifications for the Fire Cadet program are a High School Diploma or GED, must be enrolled in a minimum 6 semester units at an accredited college, and must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Anaheim Fire and Rescue believes in helping young individuals learn and gain experience that will help them become a full-time part of the fire service and the Fire Cadet Program helps achieve this goal.
